Excellent essay. Top notch unveiling of a devious propaganda campaign. I remember reading this the first time in 2019, and it has aged very well. Thanks very much for reposting it -- it was thoroughly enjoyable to read it again.

For those interested in a deep dive discrediting of Russiagate, I recommend the recently published work by Jeff Gerth in the Columbia Journalism Review: https://www.cjr.org/special_report/trumped-up-press-versus-president-part-1.php

Excellent article. Unfortunately this Russiagate mindset still exists among the so-called left who'd rather support Nazis in Ukraine than Russia's military operation which against US hegemony and imperialist domination.

Utter dogshit. If Ukraine was nazified would 73% of the population have elected a Jewish president? Even if we pretend is was nazified, is that an excuse to invade a sovereign nation? There are Nazis in Florida. Does that mean Mexico would be morally correct if they invaded the U.S. and killed 100,000 people along the California to Texas border? Mueller is a Republican and part of the GOP, an organization that any other country would label enemies of the state; he's not turning on his president. Get your head out of your ass.

Banderites are less anti-semitic than nazis and more focused on their ethnic hatred of Russia.

30% voted for him in the first round, the 2nd round option was even more right wing than him so he was chosen as a lesser evil. Also the banderism is something Poland has called out Ukraine's legislature for posting a picture of Bandera in 2023. And Ukraine's legislature also voted to recognize Bandera's birthday as a commemorative date. The voter turnout in the southern half of Ukraine is very laughable btw, less than 30% in Odessa. Almost as if it isn't a democratic country?

Also Ukraine started the war, OSCE reports show ceasefire violations in the Donbass in February.
