I very much condemn Howie Hawkin's dangerous pro-NATO, pro-interventionist position on Ukraine, and I am extremely pleased to hear that Jill Stein will, after all, be able to speak at the March 19th Rage Against the Machine antiwar event in Washington, D.C. along with numerous other notable personalities such as Chris Hedges, Dennis Kucinich, Tulsi Gabbard and Scott Ritter.

I very much agree with Jill's wise judgement that the radical Western powers' escalation of advanced weapons and hostile force projection capabilities, the US green-lighting of pushing the conflict across the border into Russia itself, adds up to an exceedingly dangerous push toward the very brink of a nuclear war - far closer now than we've ever been before - that these very ominous developments far outweigh concerns some have expressed about other event participants - as Rainer mentions in his article.

The conflict has become exestential for both Russia and the US - it always was for Russia, which has mobilized its entire society to a war footing - as Ukraine now teeters on the verge of complete military and internal political collapse. The inability of the West to force Russia to buckle under to its hegemonic bullying makes it quite irrationally dangerous and unpredictable, capable of doing the unthinkable and launching a civilization-ending nuclear war. That's a recipe for the worst possible human catastrophe imaginable.

Do we REALLY want to throw EVERYTHING away over which oligarch parasites get to rape, ravage and plunder what's left of Ukraine???

I urge all to support, and if possible, participate, in this first significant national antiwar event. The escalation madness to apocalypse over Ukraine MUST be stopped!

I have some serious issues with some of your characterizations here, but your overall point is 100% spot on. So I support this article just like how i support RAWM; both are net positives :)

On the whole I sympathize with your articles but I have some objections to Lenin. He helped to establish the Soviet Union which did not lead the salvation of humanity Marx had in mind. Rosa Luxembourg warned her comrades, Lenin and Trotsky that their politics would lead to a terror worse than that of the Tsar. She was right.
