Pompeo has been walking these same corridors while presidents came and went. You can't get rid of Pompeo, he owns the joint.
Pompeo is one of the judges in the "America's Got Democracy" show, who audition wannabe POTUSes every 4 years. Bloody expensive production, lemme tell ya
Trump has repeatedly stated that Pompeo will NOT be in his new cabinet. Trump's proxies have said the same. I don't know what is going to happen, but I know liberal and "left" media used the Pompeo card as an attempt to scare voters from Trump.
Trump was nearly killed by (likely) the same agency Pompeo ran. Now why expect he's going to hire Pompeo now? People do change. Yes, many people don't change. But some people DO change their attitudes and behaviors based on new information.
I won't argue with you if Trump does indeed appoint Pompeo to a cabinet role, because if it happens, it is fact. But right now it's speculation. I think it as an attempt to suck the wind out of the sails of MAGA populists, with whom I share 99% of political views.
Saying Pompeo is going to be in Trump's administration without it actually having happened could be interpreted as a ploy to push MAGA populists into giving up. That's corporate media's reason for pushing the narrative.
Where has Trump said he won’t appoint Pompeo? I hope he means it, but this sentiment goes against the ways Trump has been increasingly welcoming Pompeo recently.
This is why I’ve concluded Trump hasn’t changed: since the July assassination attempt, his posture has gotten more establishment-compatible. He’s gotten closer to Elon Musk, leaned more into anti-woke culture war rhetoric, promoted the deep state lie that Iran wants to assassinate him. And now the Epstein story has made him more compromised than ever.
Another thing to consider is that even if Pompeo isn’t in the cabinet itself, he’s already gotten in a place to influence the White House. He’s certainly someone with access to Trump, and Trump is glad to promote him; which doesn’t give the impression that he’ll be shut out from having influence on executive politics, whatever way he may get this influence.
P.s. If the gov had evidence that Trump was in with Epstein, don’t you think we'd have seen it by now? I didn't even know what you were talking about. I searched it on a non-google browser and it looks to me like liberal media trying to make up a story, again. Just like Pompeo chosen as SOS. Just like Trump having a phone call with Putin (made up stories.)
Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr, Matt Gaetz are all excellent appointments. Rubio obviously is horrible.
I feel like Harris would have had all Rubios or Pompeos (the blue version).
I don’t know if Trump will fix anything. I don’t know if he CAN fix anything alone. But I definitely disagree with you about the assasination attempt. The day it happened, he asked Vance to be VP. I understand leftist media is all negative on Vance, and it's a shame, because he has a better record than any Democrat who's been president or vice president in many decades! Same story with Matt Gaetz. But my point is, Vance was the populist pic, and there's credible evidence that he made the choice right after that assasination attempt.
Something about the deep state trying to kill him was very rattling. And it's just SO obvious that it was the government itself that set that into motion. Obviously the shooter fired the gun, but just about everything else was so neglected and against protocol that it's blindingly obvious that the secret service was set up to fail that day.
Scott Ritter said it more simply 'If Mike Pompeo get's appointed secretary of state or similar, the world will end in a year or two.'
They don't call it the Deep State for nothing.

With due respect.
