Rainer, I've been re-tweeting all of these protest videos, thinking, great, the people are rising up against corrupt government and rising prices, but after reading your article, I feel my optimism may have been misguided. I can't believe this didn't cross my mind, that the US would attempt to destabilize the nations involved with China's Belt and Road Initiative, to halt or disrupt Chinese development, especially considering the history of aggressive US foreign policy, and foreign political intervention.
