Thanks, on this. One old guy's comment. Good essay, appreciated. I sometimes post your substacks. I did not need to post this one, as I observe others already posting your essays in my facebook group Celebrate Facebook Freedom... so your reach is growing. You might like A Builder's Tale. It is set, on purpose, in the late 1990's, because although it is a tale of a little resort town, the people who live there, and the difficulty a hands-on, builder, carpenter, architect (this sort of person once existed in this country, rare today) experiences while building a home, with the intent to also describe what this entails, the complete shebang, design, site-ing, building from a hole in the ground to completion. And the characters who escape to resort towns... I wanted to have a way of looking at the last disastrous twenty years by their absence. It is free until I publish it in book form.
