The workers in the empire’s core are experiencing a backlash from our ruling class, one that’s going to last indefinitely and is accelerating our society’s collapse.
How do we care for the disabled, sick, elderly? We need organized systems of care. No structure is not the answer. Aware and deliberate structure is the answer. We were fed lies about Communism. We can craft it to serve our needs now and as they evolve.
I'm an anarchist. All hierarchies are authoritarian. All governments are hierarchies. Therefore, all governments are AUTHORITARIAN. Institutions suck. And SELF DEFENSE IS NOT VIOLENCE. CAPITALISM IS. The ruling class will not stop murdering us and we have the RIGHT TO DEFEND OURSELVES.
In the immigrant ghetto, in the Age of Cholera also known as the Robber Baron Era, the police didn't come except to murder labor organizers. Family had to have their own "policing function". In my Italian family that was my great-grandmother's oldest brother, Uncle Nebo. They put him to learn boxing instead of going to school. He got the shakes early in life and was the only one of his generation or the one that followed that did not marry. My great grandparents would take me with them to deliver big pots of chicken soup and fresh fruit to his house because he needed help. One time we opened his front door and the unmistakable foul smell of rotting meat issued forth. Grandma took me back to the car while Grandpa made the phone call. The point is that we need to decide some structures that benefit the people's needs and not make sacrificial lambs like Uncle Nebo just to keep the women and kids safe and the house from getting robbed during an era a real chaos in the US. You don't want real anarchism you will be forced to sacrifice people like Nebo. I was 15 years old when I discovered the hidden stairway from the basement closet fake back to the tiny second floor. I was amazed that my dear great grandparents lived in fear to have created such a thing. There were two exterior doors with heavy locks to gain access to the first floor sleeping area. And Grandpa had worked as a bricklayer in Dearborn Michigan although he was a fisherman, leather worker and bread baker in Sicily. He fought the Robber Barons. And we need to do that again
